Members in the Spotlight

Mary Ann Cronin (Army Navy CC) received the 2022 Service to Golf Award, recognizing her enthusiastic and valuable volunteer work as a rules official for multiple VSGA championships and events and other regional and national golf organizations. Her service as Past-President of WDCGA also was acknowledged.

Linda DiVall (Mount Vernon CC) was named the inaugural Super Senior Women’s Golfer of the Year for 2022, having won the Super Senior Stroke Play Championship and as medalist and finalist (losing in a playoff) at the Super Senior Championship. As an outgoing VSGA Board Member, Linda was acknowledged for her 18 years of service on the VSGA Board, including as VSGA Women’s Division President and ushering in the successful integration of the Women’s Division and VSGA Boards.

Alexandra Austin (Springfield G&CC), a former member of WDCGA, was named the 2022 Women’s Golfer of the Year, finishing 1stin the VSGA 2022 Women’s Player Rankings been runner-up in the VSGA Women’s Four-Ball Championship and the round of 32 in two USGA championships.
